As such, both crystal-clear cleans and scorching, Van Halen-approved distortion is a given, especially since both channels feature an extra voicing that can be simply called up by pushing the Channel 2 Burn button or by hitting the Overdrive button for Channel 1. Classic Red and Green Channels with Shared EQ and Noise Gate The two channels of the 5150 Iconic combo come with individual gain and volume controls so both can be accurately dialled in, while the EQ controls (Low, Mid and High) are shared and the built-in noise gate keeps excessive noise and hum at bay so your guitar always sounds as natural as possible. You also get a master reverb and resonance pot for reining in the lows and highs, plus a power attenuation switch for limiting the output to 25% - an ever-useful feature for late-night practice sessions. Lastly, using the included footswitch, you can effortlessly trigger a +10dB boost to push your solos right through the mix when you finally get up on stage.
