Extraordinary antique bridal cupboard made of pine dating from 1790.This cupboard is a beautiful and decorative piece of period history. The paintings on the cabinet are very sparsely done in dark colors, but green, blue and red tones also appear. On the flanks there are floral and religious paintings, the rest is decorated with panels.Just below the crest the initials and wedding date of the original owner. The cabinet is in an original condition as it was made in the past. This also applies to the layout, which consists of shelves, drawers and coat hooks. The inside of the doors also have inscriptions in which some names and dates from the early 1800s can be read.Unfortunately the key is missing, but the doors can be closed with a hook.Naturally, the cabinet shows the necessary signs of wear commensurate with its age, for example some woodworm traces can be observed sporadically.Which have of course been checked and treated. In the past, it was customary to give bridal furniture like this as a gift to the couple at a wedding. This furniture was subsequently placed on the farm in a stately room that was only rarely used for high-ranking visitors or special occasions. The cabinet can be transported in two parts. All in all, a beautiful piece of folk art from southern germany (franconia) that is more than 230 years old.184cm high, 174cm wide, 65cm deep.
