Meinl's CH27ST Studio Bar Chimes are specially designed for use in a recording studio. Regardless of whether you're an individual musician, or part of a band or orchestra, these chimes are great for recording. By playing the 27 gold-coloured chimes - made of anodised aluminium - with the included wooden beater, you'll be able to create the most wonderful, magical tones with the CH27ST Studio Bar Chimes. Playing with confidence The 27 gold-coloured chimes are attached to a 47cm-long balanced wooden bar by durable nylon cords. This way, the chimes are all suspended at exactly the same height, so you can play with confidence. The instrument is also often called a Mark Tree, named after its inventor: studio percussionist Mark Stevens. His colleague Emil Richards thought of that, after Stevens himself could not think of a name.
