This silver plated dessert set of 11 forks (one unfortunately lost over the years) and cake server, Art Deco style, in original box, France, 1950s. This service was sold in the 1960s, in a shop J.Aussavy in the city of Montluçon, which opened in 1958 and existed until 1987. On each fork there are stamps 18g squared (meaning the presence of 18 grams of silver in the alloy of 24 items). On the cake server there is the number 4, I.e.It contains 4 grams of silver. Also on each item there are stamps of a woman's head in a hat with the letters J and A on both sides. The box is lined with satin fabric on the inside, has a stamp of the J. Aussavy store inside. The box has traces of use, as do the cutlery itself in the form of scratches, so it is unlikely that these cutlery can be bought as a gift, but they are of excellent quality, very different from modern mass-market for the better. This is suitable for those who give a second life to objects from the past.Dimensions approx.:Forks.Length 14 cm 5.5 inches.Width 2.3 cm 0.78 inches.Cake server.Length 26 cm 10.2 inches.Width 6.3 cm 2.36 inches.
