The Saffire Bass returns! Revived by Rapier, this classic '60s bass features various upgrades based on designs by Alan Entwistle. Featuring bold styling, the double-cutaway okoume body of the Saffire boasts a unique pickguard lay-out and helps shape a warm core sound, while the stable maple neck comes kitted out with 24 medium jumbo frets plus a zero fret, keeping the tone and playability consistent across the board. The Saffire Bass: A Hidden Gem The Rapier Saffire also offers the enhanced tuning stability and satisfying feel of a compensated bridge and four block saddles. Hum-free tone is taken care of by two specially-designed EWR64B low-noise mini-humbuckers by the hand of pickup expert, Alan Entwistle. These pickups can be freely isolated or combined via a 3-way pickup, while the sound is tweaked using the fitted volume and tone pots and can be pushed in terms of mid-range presence by simply flipping the mid-boost switch.
