This is by far one of the most beautiful bridal wardrobes we currently have in stock.This cabinet dates from 1843 and comes from the oberallgäu (southern germany).The whole is beautifully painted with many floral decorations and marbled elements.The case is completely original and without restorations.It still has the original interior with coat hooks, shelves and a drawer.The inside has many inscriptions describing almost the entire family history.The main color of the cabinet is blue and the old paint is in a slightly used/worn condition.The overall condition of the cabinet is very neat, with some old woodworm traces sporadically, which have of course been treated.The wood has also started to work a bit, causing a small crack to appear on the right side.In short, user traces appropriate to the age and which give the whole a characteristic appearance.The original working lock with key is also present.In the past, it was customary to give bridal furniture like this as a gift to the couple at a wedding.This furniture was subsequently placed on the farm in a stately room that was only rarely used for high-ranking visitors or special occasions.A beautiful and decorative piece of history.190cm high, 130cm wide, 55cm deep.
