Following up on the successful Player Series, Fender have dropped the Player Plus Series, including a fresher than fresh Precision Bass loaded with every feature any contemporary bassist could wish for. While the classic P-bass platform served as the starting point for the build, this upgraded bass offers a twist on the authentic look, feel and sound of its predecessors. For a start, there's the strikingly modern high-gloss finish of the alder body and the satin-gloss coat on the back of the C-profile maple neck, but there's also the flatter, 12" fretboard radius and rounded edges which guarantee a fully satisfying playing feel. The Player Plus Precision Bass: PJ-Configured for More Tonal Options With the foundation sound sorted, Fender moved on to kit out the Player Plus Precision Bass with reputable electronics, meaning you're getting a split-coil pickup in the mid position and a Jazz Bass Noiseless single-coil at the bridge. This best-of-both-worlds pickup configuration represents an incredibly broad tonal palette of bright, balanced sounds that can be perfected using the fitted set of volume and pan pots. And there's more... From Familiarly Passive to Adventurously Active Since the passive pickups this Fender P-bass comes armed with have been combined with an active preamp, there's a mini-switch among the control pots that can be flipped to double your sonic options with a fat range of active sounds. Add to that the integrated 3-band EQ and you've got all you need for unrestricted tone-tweaking. Meanwhile, maximum tuning stability stems from a solid HiMass bridge and a dependable set of standard open-gear machine heads. To sweeten the deal some more, Fender thoughtfully chuck in a deluxe gig bag.
