The DAS Audio Vantec-218A essentially combines two 18-inch subwoofers to create one hefty hunk of gear with a combined peak power of no less than 4,000 Watts. Supported by a class-D amplifier module, digital signal processing and switch-mode power supply, the two built-in 18LX long excursion bass woofers are equipped with two 4-inch voice-coils and two massive magnets for a maximum sound pressure level of 140dB (at 1m). Advanced Controls As well as two balanced inputs, the Vantec-218A has been fitted with stereo HPF filtered outputs for satellite systems, a variable LPF crossover that can be set between 80 Hz and 125 Hz, a gain control, and a polarity switch, giving you full control over the sound. The birch plywood housing, meanwhile, has been coated in ultra-durable, black ISO flex paint and comes polished off with a powder-coated steel grille, side handles, a top handle, and a set of rear wheels so the whole thing can be smoothly rolled onto the stage.
