Every detail of this trombone has been honed for comfort, so the quarter valve has been removed; the weight of the whole instrument has been expertly balanced; the slide has been fitted with a handle; the thumb rest has been padded; and a special bend in the bell supports a more relaxed playing position. When necessary, both the slide handle and thumb rest can also be removed. Meanwhile the 12.7 millimetre bore and 203 millimetre bell diameter guarantee full-bodied tone and powerful volume.
