The Gretsch Jet BT will give you nothing but devoted tuning stability, reliably rich and resonant tone - and thanks to that gracefully double-cut body - eased access to every one of its frets. As with the single-cut Jet, the G5222 has a chambered body construction with a solid centre-block. These internal chambers are what create the rich and resonant tone you can only expect from a Gretsch Jet, and since there are no sound-holes, there's little danger of the feedback that plagues the amplified sound of full hollow-body models, or the back-breaking weight of some solid-body models. The Gretsch G5222: Solid, Lively & Twangy This Electromatic guitar is mounted with two Broad'Tron pickups finished with ever stylish Black-Top covers. It's this humbucker combo that delivers all that thick, solid, and authentic, double-wound, hum-free Gretsch humbucker sound, and while this configuration offers plenty of depth, the nature of these pickups have a slightly single-coil-style edge that gives the sound of the Jet its distinctive twang. Everything can be tweaked using the no-fuss tone and volume controls provided, while the stable Adjust-O-Matic bridge, synthetic bone nut and oil-bed machine heads ensure dependable tuning.
