The History of the G10 Greenback Way back when, Celestion introduced one of the very first real guitar speaker cabinets: the Celestion Blue. The lush, sparkling sound of this Alnico-based speaker is as popular today as it was back then, and would mark the beginning of the Celestion legend which would grow to include the Greenback: the first Celestion-designed speaker to feature a ceramic magnet. This model still had that organic Alnico sound, but was more compact, boasted a higher power output and bore its own uniquely characteristic tonal warmth.
