Extraordinary bridal cupboard made of pine dating from 1835.This cupboard has a simple design but is beautifully painted in a red-brown color with fresh floral decorations in the panels.Above the doors the wedding date and initials of the previous owner.This copy is still in good condition considering its age, although some old woodworm and signs of wear can be seen sporadically, which are to be expected with a piece of furniture of this age.Naturally, the entire cupboard has been carefully checked and treated with a view to the characteristic appearance that this piece of furniture should have.The cupboard has a well-functioning lock with key and is equipped with shelves on the inside, which are made from old cheese boards and can carry the necessary weight.These shelves can also be adjusted in height.In the past, it was customary to give bridal furniture like this as a gift to the couple at a wedding.This furniture was subsequently placed on the farm in a stately room that was only rarely used for high-ranking visitors or special occasions.A beautiful and decorative piece of history.This specimen comes from south-east germany (franconia).183cm high, 173cm wide, 57cm deep.
