With the Avantis Solo, you're gaining the same powerful Avantis engine but in a smaller and more manageable unit kitted out with a 15.6 touchscreen, 18 SoftKeys, 12 faders and six analogue inputs and outputs plus AES. This basically translates into a small mountain of functions packed away inside a compact mixer, and the touchscreen doesn't just look good, but features Continuity UI that builds a seamless bridge between the physical controls and every function and option, giving you clear and accurate visual feedback, including active channel values the moment you touch a fader. The Allen & Heath Avantis: Clear & Insightful The Allen & Heath Avantis works at 96kHz, and for every one of the 64 input channels, every processor option is available: PEQ, GEQ, Comp and Delay. The same goes for the mix outputs of the 42 busses that you can create for it. Every fader strip features buttons for PAFL, Mix, Mute Gain, Pan and Sends. Then, there's an extra three user-assignable buttons so you can set the function and customise your channels. The layout doesn't just make it possible to tweak the values of a specific channel, but supports things like tweaking the values of all of the channels included in a bank, all at the same time. You don't even need to dig around in the menus to find these options, all while the interactive lighting and touchscreen ensure that everything's not only clear, but actually insightful. Connectivity & Expansions Another world is opened up by the scale of digital connections and expansion options on offer. Via the I/O and S-Link ports, the Allen & Heath Avantis gives you access to the full range of Allen & Heath audio expander hardware. You can also add a Dante card, giving you even more options. Need more digital or analogue inputs? Set everything up the way you need it set up. In action, every setting can be easily saved and called up later, since there's enough space to store up to 500 scenes per show and, from there, the Avantis arranges them all in a handy cue list, where you can add custom names and descriptions and even perform crossfades of up to 20 seconds between scenes.
