This chair was designed by gerrit rietveld in 1918, unfortunatly not an original so made after his design, which is quit common.More commonly known as the red blue chair.this has never been painted from what I can see.All beech wood from what I can tell. Its very well made and sits remarkably comfortable.Condition is good, used but not abused.Measurements are ca: 65 cm wide X 87 cm high.Sku: 302124l.
2 reupholstered thonet armchairs with robust black armrests and subtle, chrome-plated tubes gives this chair an elegant appearance.Thonet, founded by michael thonet in 1819, was a pioneer in bending solid beechwood using steam.Thonet has not remained stagnant; they have evolved with time and now produce furniture using steel tubing as well, collaborating with contemporary designers, as evidenced by this armchair.
