Lead-guitarist of American death-core band Suicide Silence, Mark Heylmun is stoked to present his own signature axe: the Jackson Pro Series Signature Rhoads RR24-7. A big fan of Jackson Rhoads models since forever, Heylmun took the opportunity of working together with Jackson's Custom Shop team to design a signature seven-string Rhoads and kit it out with a neck-through nyatoh body, resulting in the sustain and stability demanded by pros. The 26.5-inch scale length, meanwhile, nicely tightens up the bass without sacrificing any playability, and the classic 12-to-16-inch compound radius of the ebony fretboard ensures supple solos higher up the neck as well as tight rhythm work at the lower frets. Fishman® Fluence Modern Pickups With Active/Passive Output Since any 7-string metal-monster requires ultimate tonal tightness, Heylmun has opted for a pair of Fishman® Fluence Modern humbuckers. These double-coil pickups can not only handle the raw power of this Pro Series model, but can flip between active and passive output via the push/pull volume pot. Here, active output equals low-noise and high output while passive mode gives you a lower output coupled with enhanced dynamics. Dipped in Lux black and finished with gold-plated hardware, a reversed headstock, and a double-locking Floyd Rose® 1000 Series bridge to support aggressive dive-bombing, the Mark Heylmun Rhoads RR24-7 Signature comes fully prepped to take any stage by storm.
