Lamb of God guitarist, Willie Adler, has been toting his ESP Eclipse-style signature axe since 2006. To offer guitarists on-a-budget affordable access to this face-melting model, ESP LTD present the WA-Warbird. Kitted out with a deft and hefty pair of Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers as well as other faithful details including a black fretboard, a full set of inlaid signature position markers and the infamous Warbird graphic on a black-lacquer background, this impressive signature is both sonically and visually formidable. EC Form-Fit case included. The ESP LTD WA-Warbird: A Lightweight Set-Thru Single-Cut The solid mahogany Eclipse-style body is finished by a glued-in, set-thru three-piece maple neck complete with a Macassar ebony fretboard, so you're immediately assured of ultra-stability and an extra nudge when it comes to the sustain. While it does bear all the hallmarks of a classic single-cut, this model is a touch more ergonomic than standard and has a lighter, more comfortable weight to it. More uniquely, the Willie Adler WA-Warbird also features a flatter 13.77 inch fretboard radius, a nice-and-thin U-profile neck carve and a set of agile extra-jumbo frets. And, keeping the tuning firmly in check, this ESP LTD offering also comes topped with locking machine heads. Fishman Fluence Modern Pups: Ceramic & Alnico The core sound of the Willie Adler Warbird is formed by that duo of Fishman Fluence humbuckers. Instead of a traditional, physically wound coil, these progressive pups feature a circuit board, giving them the ability to hide the sound of two pickups under one cover. Toggle the push/pull tone pot to flip between the two voicings and open up a fresh realm of sound. The ceramic double-coil at the bridge lays down a tight active sound or organic high-output sound, depending on the voicing, while the Alnico version at the neck delivers a more round, definition-rich sound or can be switched for a more blankety-warm active sound.
