The Streamliner Series from Gretsch offers a range of high-quality semi-hollow electric guitars at incredibly reasonable prices. So, while affordable, the highly versatile G2655T Streamliner still features a slim and snug body, a genuine Bigsby tremolo tailpiece, a double-cutaway body and all the supple and comfortable playability you would expect from Gretsch. The Gretsch G2655T Streamliner Center Block Junior: Stable, Feedback-Free Sound The laminated maple body of this semi-hollow model is finished in a high-gloss and the set-in nato neck has been topped with a laurel fretboard, which not only completes a deluxe look, but shapes a full and creamy foundation sound packed with punchy accents. Under the hood of this Streamliner Junior, you'll find a chunk of lightweight spruce running through the length of the body, not only to support the overall construction but to help eliminate unwanted feedback. Broad'Tron Pickups and a Bigsby Vibrato Tailpiece The G2655T comes mounted with a solid pair of Broad'Tron humbuckers: double-wound pickups that deliver solid basses, growling mids and surprisingly sparkling, yet never overpowering trebles. This unique tone is varied at will via a three-way switch and a tone pot per pickup and, when you pop out the master volume, the coils are split to unleash single-coil-style sound and open up even more sonic options. To finish, an anchored Adjust-O-Matic bridge, a legendary tone-bending Bigsby B50 tailpiece and a synthetic bone nut have been fitted to ensure Gretsch-grade tuning stability and sustain.
